Finishing Editor

Polly Bryan

Polly brings over 25 years of experience editing a wide range of long form and short form creative projects. Her work includes documentaries, network series, promos, PSAs, music and educational videos. She loves both the artistic and technical challenges of storytelling.

Polly studied radio and television in college and landed her first job as a production assistant for a small Northern Virginia public television station. The love of editing led her to one of the largest post facilities on the East Coast, where she learned to edit on linear tape-based systems stringing up one inch reels and dialing in time-based correctors.  As the industry progressed to non-linear editing, Polly embraced the technology and took her passion for all things editing to the next level.

In 2017, Polly decided to shake things up and venture into the freelance world. She teamed up with former colleague and friend, Kevin Barker, founder and lead colorist of Faction. They combined their talents to offer high end color correction and finishing with a more personal feel.

Polly believes strongly in a close working relationship with her clients to fully understand their vision. This dedication starts early in the process, advising on production decisions that can make finishing a much smoother and enjoyable process.

Polly’s specialties include Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut.  Some of her clients are National Geographic, PBS, Discovery Channel, National Park Service, as well as a wide variety of independent production companies and producers.

In her free time,  Polly enjoys trail running, sipping a great IPA and pondering her next career move as a stand up comedian.
